Dispatches: Disarming Britain Season

I know it’s been a while since I last made a post on here, but I have just seen something incredibly moving on Channel 4

Channel 4 is currently running its Disarming Britain season, and I have just seen the extended version of the trailer. My god, I was totally consumed by the entire thing; I dropped what I was doing and just sat there and watched the entire thing. It was so visceral even though there are no shots of weapons in the entire presentation, just representations of guns, and associated crime.

Anyway here is the video, (thanks to youtube)

I think you will agree that it’s very good! I almost expected it to be a public service broadcast, and the ending is fantastic! But I won’t give it away here, please watch it for yourself

We at Bench Media seem quite one sided on this matter, we all agree that we wouldn’t want to lose the ability to switch on the T.V. and instantly be absorbed by whatever trash happens to be on at that time* from the comfort of our own armchairs, or in Adam’s case, hardwood floor. Read More
